Dr. Indu Bansal Aggarwal is a Gurgaon-based Senior Consultant in Radiation Oncology. She has over 15 years of post-MD experience, and is currently attached to Paras Hospitals in Gurgaon (since Sep 2006), Max Superspeciality Hospital in Saket (since May 2010) and Max Hospitals in Gurgaon (since Sep 2008). She can also be consulted privately at the Aggarwal Centre for Diabetes and Cancer Care in Gurgaon. She was previously associated with the Batra Hospital and Research Centre in Delhi and the Artemis Hospital in Gurgaon.

Dr. Indu Aggarwal has been the recipient of several awards over the years. Most recently she was awarded a one-month Overseas Fellowship by the Association of Radiation Oncologists of India, enabling her to undertake a fellowship at the MD Anderson Cancer Centre in Houston, Texas.

Dr. Aggarwal is trained in all the latest as well as conventional techniques of radiation such as stereotactic brain/body radiotherapy (SBRT), stereotactic brain radiosurgery (SRS), gating, image guided radiotherapy (IGRT), intensity modulated radiotherapy (IMRT), 3-dimensional conformal radiotherapy (3-DCRT), intracavitary and interstitial brachytherapy, and conventional as well as palliative radiotherapy. She is also well versed in chemotherapy administration for all solid malignancies, and has treated thousands of Indian nationals and hundreds of foreign patients over the years.

Dr. Aggarwal is actively involved in serving the community too. She conducts a programme called “AAS: Win Cancer With a Smile”, which helps poor patients fight cancer and enhance the quality of their lives. The focus is not just on treatment but also aims at prevention and early detection of cancer. She has also teamed up with an NGO - Global Cancer Concern India - to conduct free health check-up camps and various orientation programmes for school going children, their parents and organisations to spread awareness about the hazards of tobacco and alcohol consumption.

Dr. Aggarwal is a keen writer too, and has had her articles and research work published in national and international journals, with about 20 publications to her credit thus far. She has chaired sessions and presented papers at national conferences, and conducted several CMEs on various cancers at seminars organised by the IMA and other associations.
